There is no way to pick one favorite. The term is too general. I love them all, and for many different reasons.

It might be sentimentality.... functionality..... shear beauty.... or some gestalt.

So, to use @tyrantlizardrex 's answer (which is the same as mine), whatever is currently telling the right time, and on my wrist.

I've been lucky enough over the last few months to begin my collection with my all time favorite....

Followed in rapid succession by my second all time favorite, which will perform daily beater duty! :whipped:

The phrase 'double grail' springs to mind!

If you look at the WRUW thread, you will find everyone's favorite. Here's mine:

Next week it will probably be this:

In a few weeks, it will likely be this:

Not even close. My favorite watch is the Omega Speedmaster Apollo 13 Snoopy. I was born the day Apollo 13 launched.

Sadly, I can't find the watch for a reasonable price, but I'm sure I'll pick one up someday.

When I was a Navy helicopter pilot in the 80's and 90's...it seemed [from what I remember] that most of my peers wore Casio G-Shocks and Seiko divers. Of the Seiko divers, most wore quartz...very few of us wore automatics. Today, at Delta, most of my peers wear any style of quartz Casio, Citizen or Seiko...I have encountered a few that wear Rolex Subs and/or GMT Masters as well as one that wears a vintage Glycine Airman automatic...and one that wore a vintage Seiko brown bullhead automatic [because he knew he was flying with me]. For the record, I am the only one [that I know of] that sometimes wears vintage railroad grade pocket watches at the office [see below]. 😁

Hamilton Railway Special 992B [circa 1950]...

Illinois Bunn Special Sixty Hour [circa 1927]...

Hamilton 992 [circa 1930]...

Elgin B.W. Raymond 571 [circa 1953]...

BONUS PIC: Mad Dog [hatched 1964]...
As commented before there is something truly fabulous about the Mad Dog photos. The perspective is a bit out there, the colours are great, there is a thematic consistency.

I think you may have seriously missed your calling
