This is like asking, who's your favorite child. I love all of mine equally without favorites.

I'm going to use the same answer my dad always used to use when asked "Who is your favorite child?"
He would reply "Whichever one I am with"

So in this case whichever is currently on my wrist.... currently

Favorite is my beloved Seiko 6309-7049. It's been flying for 30 years. Purchased it new in 1987 at the NAS Whiting Field Navy Exchange during U.S. Navy primary pilot training in the T-34C...

I'm (re)discovering a love of Seiko watches. Had one ages ago but when I wrecked it I discovered Omega and that was the end of Seiko for me. Until now.

Do you find that pilots have a favorite brand of watch, or a favorite style?

My first of two, and still my favorite...love the SPECTRE strap with the black lacquered dial and new ceramic bezel.

When I was a Navy helicopter pilot in the 80's and 90's...it seemed [from what I remember] that most of my peers wore Casio G-Shocks and Seiko divers. Of the Seiko divers, most wore quartz...very few of us wore automatics. Today, at Delta, most of my peers wear any style of quartz Casio, Citizen or Seiko...I have encountered a few that wear Rolex Subs and/or GMT Masters as well as one that wears a vintage Glycine Airman automatic...and one that wore a vintage Seiko brown bullhead automatic [because he knew he was flying with me]. For the record, I am the only one [that I know of] that sometimes wears vintage railroad grade pocket watches at the office [see below]. 😁

I've flipped my share of Planet Oceans, Seamaster 300s, Aqua Terras, XXXXX Side of the Moons, but I just can't quite keep this one away. That really says something when a serial flipper finds a wristwatch he doesn't want to flip. I can see why it has barely even changed for over half a century... because it's a damn good design. I hope Omega has the sense to not ruin the watch like Rolex did with the Submariner and the fat maxi cases.

This is the only watch in my collection that I will never sell. So I guess by default it's my favorite

I chased the Rolex GMT Master Pepsi for 30 years and finally got one this year. All those years of coveting and I finally had my favorite watch of all time.
... For about a month. Then the Speedmaster bug bit me and within a month I had a new favorite.
Now I have co-favorites, switching back and forth almost daily. Memorial Day was the GMT2. Going to see the movie Alien Covenant was clearly Speedmaster time. So basically every time the wind blows I change watches. A $50 Versa watch winder is a blessing.

Probably the 300mc but the 3573 with a Mitsukoshi dial is a close second.

WAIT! 'dog!... you're a pilot?!

And all this time I thought you were an escaped test unit for DD Coffee!

As for favorite watches.... as others have said: it is whatever is on my wrist (or in my pocket) today.... with a certain leaning towards the latest purchase.

I know if you ask me next week there will be no better watch on the planet than the Hamilton 940 I'm waiting on the arrival of now.

@Mad Dog ... might I suggest, now that the Hamilton pocket bug has its claws firmly embedded in your soul, that you find yourself an 18 size railway piece.... size does make a difference!

one favorite??! are you nuts!

if such a thing were possible we'd all only own one watch.

I've done exactly that. This is my favorite, and I'm in the process of getting rid of everything else.

Always the latest one... (Until a new one arrives. Which happens to be tomorrow... 😁)
