Nice watch, Yann, wear it in good health.

Yes! My memory is a little shot but I'm pretty sure I've commented on your beautiful Wittnauer before. Great find. The dial furniture and colors give your watch such a pretty, 3 dimensional look.

um, um, more like a sculpture than a canvas painting as art medium. does that make any sense? I don't want you think i'm on drugs or something hahaha.

You have generally good taste. In what seems only few months; you've built up a formidable watch collection at the right prices which puts you in a great position for the long term.

i know you don't really like me and I'm cool with that but it doesn't mean I can't admire your work.
we share a common passion and that's better than nothing...

oh, and dibs! Seriously - I love your watch and love Wittnauers and would love to have yours in my stable. keep me in mind.

I just sniped another Helbros. She's a little small @ 33.5mm but i really like these department store type - dress watches. The watch looks like the plating has never been polished at all. Downside: it's probably never been serviced.

    Lmao ^^^

I was placed in a holding pattern. Offered 500 and he hasn't countered yet. My guess is he's using my bid to goose up some other potential buyers...

Soooo may to choose from, but the contours of the case on this one have to put it near the top.

Minimal, mid-century sweetness. You seem to have pretty keen eye for good design. This will be the only compliment I will bestow upon you for some time now. I don't want to swell your head too much and I don't do the slap and tickle thing. lol

A beauty, the prices of these can only go one way.

I guess we agree on that model being undervalued!

I'd add Marvin to the list. I love this Marvin chronometer, that was about €100, with the original NSA bracelet.

This 18k chrono was also quite reasonable.

I would also add (Croton) Nivada Grenchen to the list of excellent etablisseurs for the money. No in-house movements, but many nicely finished models.

And +1 on Eterna, Vulcain, Enicar and Roamer; each of these manufacturers produced many all in-house models that can be had quite cheap, as long as you stay away from the dive watches (and even then you're nowhere near Rolex and Blancpain territory). You can have a Roamer with in-house Meyer & Stüdeli 44-jewel movement for a song.
And everyone should have a Cricket.
