What's With All This Eterna Stuff?

    And then I came across this which I have to admit I love the look off. Not solid gold which would have been very nice but probably a bit expensive at the moment.
    Point of the post to those in the know ;);) what is the opinion of the 1000? and any probs apparent with this? My rose tinted glasses can't see any.

    That's the same seller I bought a Longines from recently. I think he's a little high at $600-ish in his eBay listing, but you should check his own website because he lists them at better prices without having to pay eBay's fees.

    If you want, I can message him and see what he'd take.

    Hi Stuart,
    I have a friend that "found a watch on the seabed in the 1970's"...
    He brought it around and it turned out to be an Eterna automatic...and despite being in dire need of a smarten up, it's still running!
    They're tough old birds that's for sure

    I was a bit slow with this one, it has the look that really appeals.
    Now tomorrow i'm running the kitchen, pray there's no "tough old birds"
