This is the first image one sees today on Omega's official web site image credit: www.omegawatches.com I can't imagine it being a reference to the availability of watches announced at Baselworld 2016. It's gotta be something else. But what? @Superdoc Help!
The emphasis on dark makes me wonder if it's yet another variant of the Dark Side of the Moon series, maybe a "Dark Side"-'d version of the new Moonphase? Of course, the photo of the Earth (instead of the moon) might indicate otherwise
Personally, I'm leaning toward an announcement on some kind of new lume scheme. Omega has been doing some interesting things lately with the lume on Speedmasters -- the lumed tachymetre scale for example. I'd be thrilled if Omega decided to incorporate tritium gas tubes into some of its watches -- I've got kind of a thing for those tubes
It's the new darkest side of the darkliest dark side of the dark side of the moon...that's very dark...
None more dark! @Jones in LA the lume angle did occur to me, but I'm not sure Omega would make a whole huge announcement about lume changes? Though you never know these days.
"Even more beautiful when it's dark"...Isn't that what you say when something/someone is butt-ugly and you're just trying to be diplomatic?
