Would you have done differently? IMO, it's an important watch whether you fully invest in the hype or not, and the Speedmaster's design lends itself particularly well to different design touches. Maybe not the one in this thread, but some of the LEs are really cool.
Ayrton Senna Tag or Link s/le I was a young sports man playing Rugby in a European country and had bought a Tag formula 1. Went overseas with some team mates to a casino and won a fair chunk of coin. ( had trouble converting one currency let alone another after that in another country ,I did not know I had that much or what I was betting at one point. Rum and young and dumb to blame. ) Returned to find my room had been broken into whilst away and watch and other valuable things stolen. With the coin I had won that was over 30k I went back to the same Tag boutique and bought the best one in the shop at that time that I would never have dreamed of buying a few weeks before. TAG Was huge in Australia in thos days and still is to this day with Australia being one of the best markets for them.
There's a pretty nice Italian Panda Speedy for sale now at a reasonable price. I thought long and hard about it, but am going to pass. http://www.chrono24.com/en/omega/speedmasterl-moonwatch-500-pz-limited-edition--id4076153.htm
Union not league my friend ( gentlemans game ) And no mobile phones either Funny as I think pissing himself is a lot worse than picking up a dog and pretending to hump it. The cocaine stuff is yet to come out fully
Shocked to hear of athletes using illegal drugs! This was also acceptable in the 80's though I wore mine thru the 90's and beyond . .
Some rather optimistic pricing at $9,000 USD given that last eBay no reserve example went for under $4k. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Auth-OMEGA-...029421?hash=item3ac567fbed:g:sewAAOSwQNRXMBWnPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Hey that's news to me. Should I scratch off the xxx/500 on the back of my watch and burn the Omega paper work? Are you always so cocksure? Anyway, impressive job keeping verb tenses!
You and @KRLYUZH aren’t talking about the same watches, just for your info... You should better make your own thread and show us more pics of your LE and its accessories, coz it’s indeed one, unlike the watch Kirill referred to in the post you quoted.
Even now you see pricing beginning at 5k to 15ke What’s behind this and it seems that there is a big lack of interest for this watch
I currently have one of these. I can see why some say it is a bit busy, but I happen to love it - specially on a black or simple dark brown strap. It's super rare and unique. IMO, value for a decent one is between ~6k and 9k USD, but depends if you have the bracelet or not (or complete set). To find one with a really good bracelet is very difficult and of course it is not possible to find a replacement. I think part of the reason for the lower value compared to other limited production LEs is because they are just not well know and there are not many current comps. For what some of the modern LEs cost, I think to find one of these in good condition at a few K less is the way to go !
