Looking at one Ed White speedy, but few things seem off. I know that bezel is wrong, as is seen a lot of times lately. I still dont get why would Omega or owner replace old bezels with service ones, but thats a different story.

Dial looks to be original, but it looks too clean and "new" like. hand markers are white and not yellowed out as is usually the case. Could it be a relume? Hands match the hour markers as well, so I am not sure what exactly is going on. There are ding s and scrapes, so it doesnt look like it is NOS for sure. I dont think that bracelet is original to the watch either, but no idea. Anything else looks replaced or changed?

Appears to be a washed dial, where it has been cleaned and all the tritium has been removed. Replacement luminova hands as well. I think the bracelet is a correct 7912 with double notch 6 end links.

It's always sad when a lobotomy is performed on a dial right:(
Its a shame. Sadly the case and caseback looks rather polished too.
The character of the watch appears to have been removed.
::facepalm1:: as the bracelet looks nice.

I'd want to see the endlinks off the watch to be sure...

Watch itself is OK. Not great, but not much to choose from these days.

I think the photos are terrible for a vintage watch. The lighting is severe and the color balance ==> blue. Here's one of my best dials. whited out.jpg

Yeah, maybe it is just camera settings that make everything look blue, or if there is more to it. It's too rich for my blood regardless. I was curious to see what could possibly be going on just so that I know, and add to the ever growing list of all the possible issues and problems to keep an eye out for.

Good to hear that bracelet looks like it is original possibly.

    Thanks for the info.

The pictures are certainly doing it no favours. Looks like it been set to highlight the silver of the steel and make it look new by removing colour.

The dial looks original and has probably had the lume removed, but I'd bet it looks better in the flesh.

On the whole though, it does look somewhat bastardised and unappealing. Slim pickings nowadays though...
