About a month ago I bought a Connie from Kyle for other Omegaforum member here who lives in Jakarta. Once the package arrived we set up time for meeting and of course checking the progress of each other collection. Here are some shots of HIS collection.

Here is the watch that I delivered for him. Kyle's Connie Calendar Gold capped

What on earth is that Constellation / Seamaster hybrid?

Really - never saw that before! Is it a Conmaster or Seastellation? :p

That's the only specimen I know of. Even there is none in Museum. Probably Desmond could shed light?

I think it would be very difficult to redial a guilloched surface like that with neat proper script.

For more checking on the controversial Conmaster or Seastellation

This picture makes me think something's fishy about it. The ink is thicker on the bottom than on the top. Can't really say if it's a fake, real, or redial.

I think I have seen one other before...Not sure if original myself..The 'swiss made' looks thick..

My friend is not a purist. He even repaint a Connie dial with Monalisa picture. He honestly say he does not know whether this is truly all original or has been altered. He bought it with this condition

A wonderful confection :) Printing is quite paleolithic, and the chapter ring is uneven in the minute index against the applied markers. The double-crossed T is quaint for what seems to me to be a nice 2852.

Dial seems to be a Connie dial, but refinisher obviously was an adherent to the "more is more" philosophy and thus created two marques in one. Not altogether illogical, and could support the original owner's delusions of having a collection instead of one piece, like "I think I'll wear my Seamaster today" and "Time to give some wrist time to the Connie".

It's the kind of watch that should enable one to be able to dine out on for months! Frankly, I wouldn't change it.

    Cheers

    Desmond

now, what it needs is a Speedmaster with Tiffany, Turler and Meister scripts to fulfill every collector's dream :)

Yeah, not quite sure what that is. It would depend on which movement was inside. My guess is a genuine Seamaster Chronometer dial and genuine Constellation case got together and made a baby. ;)

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

With the new pictures it shows as a redial. I should have spotted the obvious tell - the omega symbol and word "omega" are both applied rather than printed.

Nothing beats sharing and appreciating another's collection with the human contact.

Still, it's nice when other forum members share electronically (with pictures). It satisfies the desire to show off (just a little!), but a real afficionado truly appreciates seeing the examples and learning from questions and comments.

Thank you for taking the time to share, especially since the watch caretaker is someone other than yourself!

Hi Desmond, I have read your comment back in 2006 to a similar Seamaster and COnstellation confection.
    Thanks for clarification.....
