Thought it might be fun to hear if you think a wristwatch worn by a famous person could beat Paul Newman's Paul Newman. Whereabouts of the watch does not have to be known but the person must have owned the watch at some point. And lets pretend that authenticity is guarenteed. And Buzz Aldrins Speedy has been mentioned a thousand times. So what comes close or top Newman's Newman? What would Hodinkee and the watch world go into über hyper mode over?
https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/ten-watches-were-still-looking-for i personally think only aldrin's watch or the missing graves supercomplication would come close
About every rare vintage item (be it a watch, a motorbike or car, ...) if connected to a ( tax deductible ) Charity auction
Buzz's moonwatch. Most probably the most important watch in the history of humanity (should we survive to become a space-faring species that is) ... Yeah 'government owned bla bla bla' -> Buzz is a sharp fellow, am pretty certain he got one of his superiors proper drunk and then to sign off on "proposed design changes to the XXX procedure" that wasn't -> part of the 'box and papers' will be the transfer of ownership
I guess you have to ask two questions: What's left out there? Who would be willing to drive it to the top? It's got to be a steel sports watch hasn't it? Tom Sellek's GMT from Magnum PI?
Ok, ok... so GMT, Moustache, Hawaiian shit, and Ferrari as a complete package... that's got to be worth more than $15.5 million!
I think this timepiece, if ever available for sale, might break every record. https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/a...pante-minute-repeater-with-his-great-grandson WINSTON CHURCHILL’S TURNIP
That would be awesome! No, seriously that would be crazy. Magnum PI is perhaps the greatest show ever made
