1) theverge.com - for all around tech news
2) daringfireball.net - tech news with commentary. Mostly apple focused
3) Washington Post
4) meh.com - daily deal site. Don’t purchase much here but their description of what they sell is very funny

Friend: "Did you see where recently a Brazilian died in a boating accident?"

Blonde: "Oh my god, that's HORRIBLE" and starts to cry uncontrollably...

Friend: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you so much"

Blonde: "But that's just TERRIBLE, oh my god!" wailing with anguish....

Friend: "I was just mentioning the news...why are you so upset?"
