Hi everyone, longtime no speak, lots of life stuff, wars in the world, etc— but I hope you’ve all been well. And still with a Longines on my wrist. Best wishes to all.

Nice two-tone dial. The hands, crown, and case all look good too. Do you know where and when it was originally invoiced?

Thank you, I enjoy it very much. It is an Ostersetzer's watch, invoiced 1942, my first 35mm watch 😀

Thank you for the response. So many Longines that I like were originally invoiced to Italy. I suppose that the strong contingent of Italian collectors has had an influence. A 35 mm, steel Longines from the 1940s is a special watch!

My pleasure, lots of italian invoiced watches are 13ZN, and I also think that Italy was a very important market for Longines. I never saw a 35mm watch in person, it is impressive and the case wears bigger than the 35mm. That*s why we all love Longines, they had it all in these 1930s/40s years.

Does anyone know anything about this model? What's your estimated market price?

I was, before I bought my first of these, unsure about the red trim on the edge of the dial but I no longer have any qualms, indeed I positively like it.

Beautiful... Is it gold capped? Can't figure it out if steel or gold

A modern reproduction of an old model, not considered collectable, not worth more than 50 euros to a collector. by the way this is not a thread for inquiries, it’s best to create a separate thread if you’ve got questions about a specific watch.

Steel.

Here’s another closeup of the dial:
