What time does the date change on your Omega(s)?

The date on my Seamaster changed at 23:59:02

58 seconds before the stroke of midnight.

Is this considered accurate?

Can this change or will the date always change at that exact time on this watch?

What time does yours change?

The obligatory wrist shot.

Cheers.

That’s pretty good in my experience. All of the omegas I’ve owned have changed anywhere from 2-7 minutes after midnight.

From what I’ve noticed, the date change seems to be pretty consistent every day.

My PO is right at midnight. My Seamaster 2254 is about 20 minutes before midnight. 58 seconds is great.

I saw the title and thought Oh No!
Not another "my watch changes date at midday instead of at midnight! Should I take it to a watchmaker?".

I kid you not, it was on this forum somewhere.

Awesome! Maybe there should be a pinned “best of the worst thread” for such great examples.

Maybe you can help me. My watch always says 2 pm when it's 2am and vice versa. How do I fix this?

For the semi-instantaneous date mechanism in the 8800 and similar calibers, the tolerance is +/- 10 minutes of midnight.

Cheers, Al

Considering Archer's tidbit of information, I could really run amok during that 20 minute time period when the date could be incorrect!

Of course my Omega's will never have an issue with accurate, up-to-the minute date changes for none of them have a date feature. I can run amok 24/7/365 and on leap year as well.
