What temperature can watches withstand?

Yes - the upper end of the range is now 56.

@Archer

Question on the hot plate used for the condensation test. How does the hot plate indicate that the watch itself has reached 56* or whatever temperature it needs to get to? I know the hot plate is giving off that temperature but does it have a sensor to indicate when the watch case itself reaches that temperature? Or do you need go use a digital thermometer or similar to know when the case has reached the temp?

You let it sit for 30 minutes on the heat...

that’s it? I would think there’s a more definitive way to ensure that the watch itself has reached the temperature it needs to be at. Don’t different materials (titanium, stainless steel, etc) reach temperatures at different rates?

Sure, but 30 minutes is enough for all of them. This test is only to check for condensation...maybe you believe that is a very complex thing, but it isn't.
