Just a quick question, recently aquired a Speedy Alaska and was wondering what straps would best dress the watch.

Im looking to buy some straps myself for it, so any inspiration from other Alaska owners is welcome

I was thinking maybe distressed gray nato, or a cordura black strap.

Regardless of the watch being used in a dressed up or relaxed or outdoorsy way, I was wondering aesthetically what works best for the piece.

OMEGA NATO with the red trim.

 

The cordura strap from the Silver Snoopy looks aces on any white dialed Speedy.
The black with red border nato usually looks better on dark-dialed watches, but should a nice match for the red chrono sweep hand.
If you really want to get funky look at some straps by Suigeneric. Similar installation and operation to the original white strap but in more colorways and patterns.
And a vintage distressed light brown suede or classic rally strap is always good choice for ANY Speedy Pro.

 

Black kevlar looks pretty good on the Alaska, sorry I don't have a pic. Ditto on the Snoopy strap.

I believe the new Snoopy strap looks best. I have fitted it to my Alaska "custom" and I think it looks even better with the real white dial from the original Alaska Speedy (mine has the off-white Italian dial.

No, no real problem per say, just not a fan of the build. Doesnt feel thick enough on the wrist and apparent velcro just doesnt quite cut it for me.

 

Strawberry to match the chrono second-hand. Nice touch.

It looks very nice but doesn't it get dirty really quickly?
