I understand. Black makes it too “serious” for me, but I would love to try burgundy or maybe even cherry shell from @jankoxxx, but he never makes small ones :)

Black in a shell cordovan would be so different that I think it would reduce the "seriousness" factor for you. NOS vintage examples on ebay exist; you're interested in the 11/16" size.

The problem is that you're trying to dress down a dress watch.

It would not be unusual to see a watch such as this on an 11/16" expansion bracelet. Perhaps that is worth your time. Or a nice mesh. I have a rather elegant vintage mesh on my stainless case black dial Accutron.

My watch is very similar, 135.012 I believe. This is a flat finish alligator strap.

The flat finish works very well. Expensive strap?

It's a German company called Di-Modell. It costs about 30 dollars. That's kind of my price point.

Yup. I'd put it on a Horween shell in #8 or Natural.

:whistling: PM me if you want one. The OF discount on first orders is in effect.

What reference and year is that Geneve? It has printed logo is it mid 70s? Great strap, good bargain.

    Thanks! It's a 1972 Geneve case ref 136.0098.

I just had my geneve serviced from top to bottom (crystal, crown, and movement) and traded it to my dad for his 1973 speedmaster Mkii. Always like to keep omegas in the family ;)

Have mine on a distressed black with white stitching...much more casual look.
