I generally sport my Allen Edmonds cap toes when dressing up but I also recently leveled up my casual sneaker collection a bit with a pair of navy leather Burberry sneakers.
Conditioned for the season......and favorite Cowboy Boot. A Ray Jones Boot was never signed, look for his world famous Toe Bug, White Piping, Triple wood-Peg sole, Hand stitched upper design(I also have an example of his OTHER upper design, he only had 2, and you better have bought a lifetime of boots from him to get him to produce it) and the LOOK of a STURDY, WORLD CLASS BOOT at a glance. Bought these 20 years ago from the son of the owner, worn sparingly then and I wear them at least once a month yearly. Luckily, his foot and mine were close enough. Study the hand-stitched sole and narrowed, bevelled waist, a Master Craftsman.
Pic from a few minutes ago…wearing Nike Waffle Trainer 2s [see yellow arrow indicators]…in the fitness center…at the Holiday Inn Express in Athens, AL…enroute to Pensacola, FL… LATE ENTRY: Also, since this is a watch forum, wearing my 145.022-71 on a Rothco protective band with protective flap retracted for pic [see red box indicator]…
Glad I started conditioning my boots, early Fall has started, woke to 56F and sunny Allen Edmonds pebble-grain calf Chukka probably made by Crocket & Jones in a color 8 equivalent.
Conditioned my 10-12 year old Charles Tyrwhitt(probably made by Grenson) in a London Tan full grain calf.
Color 8 equivalent? Wild. Looks like a Color #6 Cordovan (but obviously not cord) in most pictures but the second picture makes it look like color #2 almost. Beaut.
I know these are a far cry from the boots that others have been posting.... but man are they comfortable.
Haven't had these Lucchese on in years. Inspired by TexOmega to pull them out of the closet for at least one day.
Chelsea style boots are super common here in the Portland/Vancouver area. Attractive, functional, and comfortable. Always a good choice.
How about Deep Bruise Italian Red? That kinda rolls off the tongue.... I was using the "color 8" to emphasize that this chukka goes with anything.
