Surprising how many brands he found.

Omega, Seiko and Cartier owners were happy to share and talk. Rolex guy keeps walking and says smugly "good for you, you know it's a GMT." Other guy wearing a Sub won't even stop.

Lots of Apple Watches and Garmin, but many other brands. There’s at least one pilot I know at OF who wears an Omega and drinks a lot of Dunkin coffee …

For what it’s worth, from what I’ve seen over the past several years at Delta, most pilots seem to wear Apple watches. We do have our own in-house Delta pilot watch group on Facebook called Widget Watch Club…we see lots of Rolexes, Tudors, Breitlings, Omegas, Seikos, and IWCs…as well as quite a few micro brands.

Good point made by one of the pilots, that he doesn't wear his nice watches on the road because of the risk of theft. Fair enough. Some of the cities that you're flying into could be a bit sketchy. There's also a lot of hard surfaces in a cramped cockpit to ding your watch on. So an Apple watch or something cheap like a G-Shock makes a lot of sense.

When I was flying airliners for a living I wore a Breitling Colt II quartz. COSC certified accurate, 500m water resistant, all brushed stainless and it flew (pun intended) under the radar while I was working/traveling. Excellent watch and I still have it.
