Wow. Note to self. Don't bother putting anything out there. And for everyone's reference, it was done in (primarily) chronological order. My box, I do me.

We all plough our own furrows, as you do. The digs are pointing out the craziness the hobby developes in us all to some degree.😉

All comments are made with the best intentions. We're family, with all the positives and negatives that implies 😁

I apologize on behalf of the forum, which we know is full of fussy perfectionists, myself included. 😁

FWIW, my watch box definitely is also full of keepsakes. From the tiny franken Omega seamaster I was wearing when my son was born, to the funky beaters I've bought in vacations, to the watches that remind me of memorable work projects. The only problem is that this makes is pretty impossible to sell anything later. 😵‍💫

Certainly, no one should have to defend themselves after a simple post. Other than the one watch being upside down in the first photo, I wasn't requesting petty critique. And this certainly wasn't any exercise looking for approval from the random 'anal' judges. All I said is, here's my box. I've seen some tacky stuff here. I've seen some awfully boring same old, same old, 'me too' stuff here. I say nothing. Their watches, their choices.

I'm failing to see what you're getting so defensive about. Nobody was critiquing your watch box or choices. It was all self deprecating humor with people poking fun at themselves and their high level of OCD about petty things like screw alignment. The watch strap thing is just a big running joke in the thread that was linked. Nothing to do with you or your choices. I understand things can be read/taken in different ways but that was my take. You posted a light hearted thread and people started making jokes, myself included. It's all good.

Mate, honestly don't think anyone was making a dig at you. Any digs at the photo were people laughing at their own OCD. Please don't take it any other way. This place is full of great, and very helpful, people.

You've been light-heartedly ribbed about it. It's a sign of acceptance.

Those of you who have difficulties when you see a watch upside down in a watch box…….how do you deal with auto winder watch boxes?
They must dive you crazy, not only when they go round but also when they stop in random places during their cycle.

I am mortified some watches show different times.

This just reminded me of a watch box issue I have. Sometimes I like to set the stopped watches in my watch box to 10:10. The problem is when you pull the crown on the stopped watch it starts running again for a short time. So you can't nail 10:10. Then you have to come back later and set it to 10:10 again once it's truly run down all the power. I've mostly given up on this futile practice.

I think this might be some sort of a cry for help.
