What movement is inside my jump hour?

Hey everyone,

I’ve had this jump hour sitting in my watch box that I picked up as a project. It likely needs a new balance so I’m looking for a donor movement. It was my understanding the base caliber would share parts with non-jump hour watches as well.

The problem is I don’t know the actual caliber or maker of the movement itself based on what I can see inside/outside the case. I’m wondering if any of the forum experts here might be a bit more savvy than myself.

Based on what I can see in the photo, I think it's an A. Schild caliber, possibly an AS340 or similar.

Would need a clear well focussed pic with the crown at 12 and the diameter of the movement in millimetres to go any further.

From the very little information and shitty photo I gave you, that is quite impressive. There is a good chance you are correct because once I included AS340 in my search, I found other jump hours.

I will try to get a better photo and the diameter. I was a little tentative to take it out of the case before.

As 340 or related looks to be pretty conclusive.

Hey, I kinda just assumed before that it was an AS340 but this definitely confirms it! Thanks for the resource, I’ll pass it onto my watchmaker as he tries to fix this thing next week.

So I thought this saga was over. Watchmaker can’t repair my current movement without a donor likely but during disassembly he found that it wasn’t an AS movement but rather an Enicar.

He seems to think it is an Enicar 120 but it’s basically impossible to find a donor/parts. Wondering if anyone on the forum maybe know is there is another base caliber that is shared or could be used potentially?
