I stole this photo from Sliceoftime. It’s a 40th anniversary of something Speedmaster obviously but I don’t know which one. Gorgeous watch.....
Looks to be a SPEEDMASTER 2005 "GEMINI 4" - "40TH. ANNIVERSARY" SU 145.0229 https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-speedmaster-gemini-4-40th-anniversary-su-145-0229/
Be careful hunting them. The dial was available as a spare part so some watches got converted and are worth less money.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll keep that in mind if I see one. I’d likely only buy one from someone on here who’s a true trusted seller.
FYI, Here is a correct full setup I sold a year ago. https://omegaforums.net/threads/sol...ry-limited-edition-ref-3565-80-gemini4.55338/
Isn't there some difference with the parts dial? Like it doesn't have the dates on it, or some other tell?
AFAIK nope. More then a few LE’s from that era had the dials available as parts. Now LE dials are swap only. I’d list the LE dials available on the Speedmaster as parts but I know how much you love Speedies.
I know the panda dial for the Mitsukoshi vs the Apollo 11 anny had that dial variance (Look at 2003 and 2004 in Moon Watch Only link below). http://www.moonwatchonly.com/omega-...-only-reviews/10-two-tone-dials-speedmasters/
My friend has one, bought it new with a large discount at the time, it's his daily watch and it's stunning. The dial just stands out.
