What is your lens choice for photographing watches?

    Good nigth, OF!

I recently bought a "new" camera, the Olympus OM-D E-M10 mkII. It came with the kit lens, the 14-42mm F3.5/5.6 and I'm really loving it.
Previously I used (and still use) a Canon T5i (700D) with the 50mm 1.8 or the kit lens. In regard with macro shots, I just use some extension tubes I grabbed on the 'bay for roughly 10€.

I'm really enjoying this watch photography hobby and I wonder what fellow enthusiasts use on their shoots! Any recommendations for watch related photography?

Here I share some of mine, all taken with the M10 and the kit lens (they've been cropped, taken out from my IG!):

Nice WS ! I have a Canon 650D with the kit 18-135mm lens. I'm curious about you "tube" kit to do some macro. What is it exactly, and would it work on my camera ?
    thanks :)

I use a 20-year old Olympus C 5050 for most of my close up shots. For close ups, the C 5050 is much easier to use than my Olympus Pen model.

Yeah! It will definately work. You just have to find the tubes with connection to Nikon!
They are just some lens-shaped tubes that you attatch between the actual lens and the camera body. That way, your lens is further and it allows you to reduce minimum focusing distance while creating zoom. They look like this:

I just did a quick google search and found that the camera you mention has a "Super-macro focus mode", can you explain how does it work?

    Best,
    Javi.

Really good choice! What is the minimum focusing distance for that one?

For wrist shots I use my IPhone 6s, for very close up stuff I use my Canon 450D with a 35mm Macro EFS lens

I use a 60mm 2.8 Micro Nikkor. Every dust particle, fingerprint and hairline scratch shows!

Canon EFS 60mm USM is a good macro choice for your camera.
It's designed to be be used (only) with a crop sensor . Archibald Knox Hairbrushes 12a.jpg

I grabbed an old Nikon 55mm AIS. It’s certainly more of a fiddle than the 60mm AFS but it was a third of the price. The only problem is that it has the common problem of oily (hence sticky) diaphragm blades so around one in five shots gets exposed wrong, but then I just take another one. It would probably be infuriating if I used it for anything other than still-life.

I have! it's useful to take pocket shots when you're alone. Is there a function you're referring to that I'm missing?
