·I am with you - 36mm is the perfect size for me even though I have some larger watches. I have a soft spot for small watches from the 1940's and 1950's, although I don't have a lot of them. With the move from pocket watches to wrist watches back then, the ability to make a watch small was a sign of prestige. Hamilton, Bulova, Elgin and Gruen all made tiny watches by today's standards. The military pieces were especially small so that they didn't get caught or hung up while on the battlefield.
