Dial text looks off to me. Date wheel is all red. Date change is not quickset.

    Caseback is domed

End links look to be too narrow

Bracelet looks to be put together with what looks to be a too small clasp

It’s beautiful. A few years ago (2014) I purchased a ladies dj that was almost just like that. All 100% original I paid 500usd. It sold for 2300$ I wish I new where the market was gonna go I never would have let that one go. Black dial with red DW. It was so beautiful I’m sure it would have fetched a lot more today.

Could be a ref 6305 or similar? The ref number should be between the lugs at 12. Serial between the lugs at 6. I'm not sure it was originally a bracelet watch, so the bracelet is probably a transplant, and possibly a bit of a franken.

Bracelet looks to be a 19mm ‘Big Logo’ rivet Daytona

That in itself is a rarity

What is the date on the clasp ?

Probably a 6605 with possibly a redone dial.

That all makes sense to me and sounds about right. In person, you may want to take a close look at the alignment of the applied markers and the minute track. It looks a bit wonky in the photo, but could be to parallax error from the angle of the photo.

Actually, the applied markers and the minute track are not aligned - so redial?

Final question - am I better off keeping the existing dial, or have Rolex install a service dial (if service dials for this still exist)? My understanding is that they will most likely keep the old dial.

Oh, and it looks like this bracelet will look great on my 1500!

Hard to tell with no movement shot. But my guess is that the movement could be a calibre 775. If I am right, I very much doubt that Rolex will have a dial, or anything else, for that matter. In fact, I doubt very much they would even look at it.

I think it's pretty much a wash in terms of value, if that's what you're asking. And as mentioned above, I'm not sure they will have service dials for 4-digit references. However, somebody out there might have one, or even an original, and that would be worth hunting down if it's going to be something for your own collection.

    It's a nice bracelet.

I just called Rolex Beverly Hills, and they dont have the reference in their database (so likely not able find a dial). Even if they did, they would need to service it, and replace hands, crown etc. Cost starting at $1800. I'm probably better off looking for a dial on Ebay or something.
