This has been a master class in marketing from Omega. The power of this marketing will last a long time. My young nephew has the watch ‘Pluto’ he aspires when working to purchase his Dad’s version. Honestly, punter is in very common usage in the UK to mean customer. I refer to my clients as punters all the time, and no-one's taken offence so far (although maybe they're too horny to notice).
