What is the original factory Omega Speedmaster Reduced steel/gold bracelet/strap DA 175 0032?

I recently purchased an Omega Speed Master Reduced steel/gold in Japan reference DA 175 0032.

Caliber 1140.

I know that the first series from 1989... reference 175.0032 has a flat steel caseback with the writing omega, OK.

My doubt is about the strap with which this watch was born: leather or steel?

In any case I will have to change the strap and the buckle to make it "original", so I ask for help on which is the factory strap or bracelet.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I believe this is a 175.0033 as opposed to a 175.0032 (the inside of the caseback most likely references both watch case numbness). I expect that this watch may have had a leather strap option but most would have come with a 1469/811 bicolour bracelet/ endlink combination. A newer 1469 bracelet with 813 endlinks would also fit the watch. I’ll post pictures of both options.

Pictures of both the 1469/811 and 1469/813 combinations. The final picture shows the different endlink profiles but these are interchangeable.

The case back says DA 175 0032.

Why might it be a 175.0033 instead?

I know that the first steel/gold models had a smooth case back with only the Omega writing without the classic seahorse.

Where can I buy this bracelet?

Below is a picture of the DA 175 0032 from the Omega website. If you search online you’ll fine a couple of different variants of the 175 0033, one of which appears to be your watch. These are simply case references; really you need to find the model reference number - i.e. specific to your watch. I’m sure if you spend the time online you’ll find the number - eight digits commencing with a 3. Once you have this information you’ll be equipped to do more specific research on your watch. I hope this helps.

1750032 is a partial case number, which is not the same as a model or reference number. A single case number can be used for several different models, because the model can have different options with the same case.

So the DA 1750032 case came with a white dial option and two tone bracelet, which is watch reference number 33102000. The bracelet number for that is 020DA1469811.

It also came on a black croc strap, which is watch reference 37102001. The strap part number is 97241064, and the buckle for it is 94511601.

The same watch but with brown strap is reference 37102012. Strap for that is 97242064, and the same buckle is used as the previous.

Cheers, Al

Thanks for providing the correct information Al - I guessed you’d have the model reference numbers.

Saluti, Al
