I've been searching on the forums but I'm struggling to find a direct answer to this question for some reason. I believe that the crown I currently have is incorrect, and while it's not reallly a big deal to me, I figured that I would try to source the correct crown at some point so that I could have it replaced whenever I send it in for service. For reference, the one currently installed has 22 teeth by my count and a diameter of approximately 6 mm (I don't have a set of calipers handy so it's hard to tell exactly).

MWO says 'A3 24 teeth wide Omega'. However it also says 'sometimes 22 teeth'. Any way, diameter should be 6.5mm.

Thanks for the info. Sometimes 22 teeth? Hmm... mine may very well be 6.5mm too, it's tough to tell with just a ruler.

Does anyone know of a part number or something else that might help me find the right crown? Still assuming mine is incorrect that is, which now I'm not so sure.

This page seems to indicate that I may want part # 43018? However it also says that this part will fit both pre-moon and 145.022 cases which doesn't make any sense to me (and the diameter is 6.7mm). Starting to feel like this may be more trouble than it's worth.

The crown you have now is incorrect. I'd assume it'll be much easier to find a B2 32-teeth crown.

Okay I figured as much. I'm sorry, but can you provide any more detail? Is a 32-teeth crown correct for this reference? I really should just get a copy of MWO but I hadn't planned on purchasing another Speedy for quite a while so I didn't want to pick it up just for this one thing.

MWO lists Type A3 - 24 teeth Wide Omega logo as the correct crown for this reference. Two other crowns are listed for correct periods of 60's and 70's and they are Type B1 and B2 both of which have 32 teeth. Like I mentioned, B-2 32's are easier to find.

Okay, thanks for your help. Maybe a WTB thread is in order at some point...
