Seller says all original (aint that always the story lol) but looks to me like dial and hands are either service, or all the lume has been taken off. They look too plain.

I dont know much about older service dials, so that is why I am not sure if this one one of them or not. Watch is listed as 68 transitional

    Thanks for the help.

Dial's original but scrubbed, the hands are most likely Luminova replacements.

I know that speedy101 is not the be all, end all when it comes to prices, but it is damn good resource with correct pricing chart. With that in mind, would you consider this a $4K watch ("running" on speedy101) It has all the correct parts, but since lume is gone, and service history is a question mark it surely would not cost more. Or would you consider this even lower price wise?

Well let's say a 145.022-68 in great condition (without bracelet) is worth what, $6,000 these days?

    -checks SM101-

Yep, on the nose. So this one has a not-that-great bezel, deduct $750 (buying a nice one will cost $2000, and this one might fetch $1250 or so on eBay if you sold it afterwards)
Needs a set of tritium hands, maybe $150? Not sure.
Needs a new dial. $2500 or more, and good luck finding one. Or, if you wanted to keep this one and were positive you would, you could get it relumed.

So perhaps $2500-3000 for the watch as it is, assuming it's in good condition mechanically

Outside my range on this. Sure it has a DON but its one of the least attractive I have ever seen. Dial missing lume and not particularly attractive, and how much to source correct good looking hands all need to be factored into it. Basically what @abrod520 wrote as I was writing this.

Looks like they used a sharpie or paint to dot over some of the bezel blemishes

I know where you're coming from, but even this washed dial would sell for a decent amount in the current market.

I think if this went on eBay it'd probably get closer to $3.5-4k.

Starting bid was $5K, no one bit.

That's a Sharpie IMO, but maybe we need an expert like Terrell Owens to confirm that.
