What Is a Complete Speedmaster Collection?

路I'm about 2/3 done with my complete Speedy collection and the final 1/3 is going to be damn near impossible to complete 馃檨.
I'd say:
2915-1 or 2
2915-3 or 2998-1/2
2998-62 or 105.002 [got it]
105.003 [got it]
105.012-66CB [got it]
145.022-68 Transitional [got it]
I think the 2915, an early 2998, a late 2998, obviously an Ed, the CB (because it was NASA flown so often and because it's distinctive from the other Pro's), and finally, the transitional 861 because it's unique as well. The 145.012 doesn't stand out for me versus the 105.012-HF's or the 145.022-68, and any of the 145.022's post 1968 aren't "must have" additions to my collection (although I'm always on the lookout for a nice early 70's step dial with a ghosted bezel).

路Leica have been doing it with their cameras for quite a few years now. Boxed presentation sets - body and lenses destined never to take a picture.
Entirely agreed - Leica Safari's / Hermes are a complete waste of money balanced against actual value
However......As a Leica owner......once used......every other camera lens falls short....... Not unlike driving an '67 E Type, which I am also lucky enough to own
However idiosyncratic, ( & occasionally dramatically unreliable ), the marque is...........the actual experience is unmatched
