Watchmaker was doing a favor for me and somehow my average hairspring ended up getting damaged.

He called a friend who supplied him with one he said was from a T30, but watchmaker said the collet hole a touch too open for the balance staff on my 30T2RG balance, so even if he erred and meant 30T2. Still not it.

Checked it by placing it atop a balance bridge and stud sits out a bit further than it should.

Not for a 30 mm movement. Probably not for a 5xx series either.

New hairspring and no clue what it fits. Looks to be 7 mm

Based on how gouged up the slot in that collet is, I doubt very much it's a new balance spring assembly...

But anyway, why would the watchmaker who screwed up the spring not be the one finding you a new one?

My hairspring was already a bit out of shape, so I didn't ask what happened as he wasn't charging me. He restaffed the balance and asked his friend if he had an extra

Figured if the current was useful for something I could swap it for a 30T2, but no idea what it fits
