Blowup of the WRUW I posted earlier today

I don't suppose I will find that pusher after this afternoon's walk in the woods.

Ouch....but never say never..... might be worth retracing your steps (people do win the lottery) … also did you use the pushers or knock the watch at any point … might be a clue.... Of course if you have a lot of grass forget it without a metal detector..... Also check near / in the house and in the watch box, it might have happened before you left (fingers crossed).

Retrace your steps. Last month we were staying in a cottage in Australia and my wife discovered one of her diamond studs was missing when she came to bed. Panic, we turned the place upside down but the 1.5 ct diamond wasn't there. The next morning we went to the car which was parked about 15 ft away from the door, she looked down and lo and behold there was the stud laying on the wood chipped surface. $10,000 disaster averted. Look, you never know.

I checked watch box, trouser pockets and fleece pockets immediately I saw it was missing. Out of my house I have less than 100 metres of tarmac then the walk to where I took the WRUW photo was another 1500 metres of grass paths through nature reserve and field edge. It was a bit colder than I expected so my hands were in & out of my pockets to warm them up, there was quite a lot of patting doggies too. However I will check -- even though finding it would negate the lottery ticket I bought today.

I am lucky to live where I can take a walk like that any time I want, but 🙁 🙁 🙁

Thank you all for the sympathy.
