Its a gold capped case and and bezel (not solid gold as indicated), in 14k not 18k which Omega never used on these. This is actually better than a gold-filled case.

Crisp case, I believe the diameter on this reference is actually 35-mm.

I'd like it better at $375-$400

    It
It's clean and well within my budget. Unfortunately, it is an international private seller. I do not have any experience with vintage watches and fear I may purchase a counterfeit. Honestly, many of the EvilBay watches appear to be legitimate based on the guidelines described in this and many other forums, yet they seem to sell for extreme discounts. This has prompted me to be very wary.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I am going to offer $350. If he doesn't accept it? move on.

Manual wind, no calendar. Are you sure you can live with such a stripped model? If you have a daily wearer with convenience features and will only use this one for casual wear, maybe you'll enjoy it. On the other hand, an equivalent Omega with auto wind, calendar, and in the same style and quality of case may be more than you're prepared to spend.

I like to look. I have several other watches. This will be my first Omega and first vintage watch. I purchased the watch today. Does anyone know what size band this watch will accept?
