What do you think about this Geneve 136.0104- could be my fist one?

I have found this one on a online auctions site. I was after a Geneve, and this one looks like shouldn’t break my bank and I like it. I know the strap is not original, but what about the rest, does it looks nice to you? What would you consider a good price for it approx? Thank you!

It's a nice looking watch, the only issue for a serious collector is that the dial has been repainted. The logo is too early for this watch and the Swiss Made is in the wrong format/position.

If it remains reasonably cheap it would be a good first watch if you are aware of the issues.

As you say Jim I think think this is fine. I’ve seen plenty of these that look the same. As a purist collector there is much to not like but as an entry piece then who are we to say.

Thank you very much for your comments! I’ll think about it, and definitely buy it around the price you suggest.

the dial looks like it a sunburst. Maybe I’m wrong. In that case, could it still be repainted? I don’t mind it being a simple, entry model, but I don’t a repainted dial…

The dials fine but personally I’d get one of these with the earlier 565 movement which is better.

Geneves are beautiful and stylish watches. Design bulls eye, clean 60s, no nonsense style. But I am biased. Mine says hello and good luck.
