Hi everyone, I'm continuing my search for a vintage Speed 321. What do you think of this 145012/67? I look forward to hearing your opinions on both the overall condition of the watch and the accuracy of its various components.
Thanks to anyone who would like to contribute.

Looks nice at first glance, but have a closer look at the indices. They don’t reach over the minute track. This is a service dial. An early, tritium one, but still, not the one it was originally delivered with.

True!!! It doesn't have the typical long indexes. I've never seen a tritium service dial. Thank's!

I don't know. I don't have a photo of the inside caseback right now. Would that change anything? In the sense that it might not be a factory dial? as soon as I have a photo of the inside, I'll post it here. Anyway, It seems so beatiful..

Nice looking watch, as long as you're ok with service parts and understand how they affect desirability and value.

Case is heavily polished.

Honestly, it might be a fine watch to wear, but it doesn't carry the sense of a historical watch, which is generally the reason to want a 321.

If it was a person's family watch, then rock on. If someone is just looking for a 321 Speedy, hard pass.

I agree. A dial from a factory usually has a significant impact on collectors' interest. Although in this case it would still be a vintage dial, being a tritium and not a luninova Dial.

How is it possible that MO indicates a specific dial for the 321 models with short indexes generically referring to a time period (60/70)? Finally, is it 100% supply or in some cases was there a version of the dial with short indexes originally mounted?

Service dial, but very nice service dial, which is quite rare, and which proves that this watch had a life, respect for its age, and has been serviced.
I could wear it... 👍

Correct crown, pushers seem to be the original ones

Several positive points: 1039 with a good length, plus 516 end links, very good DON

How about the (price) elephant in the room?

The question is: what would be a fair price for this watch? There hasn't been a real negotiation yet, but I think it's starting at €8,000-€8.500. I'd like to know if this tritium Dial 321 is of collector's interest or if it's a Minus. If it had long indexes, it would certainly have been a truly wonderful piece.

Is it possible it could be a later reference? Or does the exact combination of other components all but guarantee that it really is a 145.012 with a service dial?

IMO, it does not have collectible interest, just an attractive vintage watch with a story. That price seem so outrageous that I don't think I'd even bother trying to negotiate. The seller seems not to understand that the most important part of the watch is missing. FWIW, the case appears to be mediocre.

Dial and hands look beautifully matched that creamy lume is exactly what you want to see on a 145.012.

With short indices it is exactly what you don't want to see on a 145.012-67 or any other 321 movement Speedy. Yes it looks nice and may have other positive attributes, but this should be at a discount to an all original watch not a premium as it is at present. There is no chance at all this left the factory like this IMO.

Well, almost all of you agree that it doesn't have much collector's interest! But I still haven't figured out which models featured the dial classified by Moonwatch Only as B4 (generally referring to the 60s/70s) with applied logo and tritium indexes.

@Dash1 , any thoughts on the OPs question?
