Had been looking at an Arcam player that also streams, best of both.
I just started getting into equipment about 2 years ago, and I still have a lot to learn. My older relatives started giving me vinyls that they wanted to throw away, so I restored an old Marantz record player and hooked it into some run of the mill Klipsche speakers. Fast forward a year, and i'm still a complete novice, but i've made a few upgrades. I purchased a set of Kef LS50 wired monitors, Vincent PHO 701 phono preamplifier and upgraded the stock tube to a Psvane 12AU7-TII tube, a Nuprime IDA-8 amplifier, Audioquest type 4 speaker cables, and Audioquest Sydney RCA's. I also purchased an old Technics SL-QD33 turntable to get me started. To top it all off, i a repurposed some Target shelving for my records lol. Anyway, if i offended anybodies audiophile senses, I apologize.
Currently, thinking about upgrading the turntable/cartridge.

I’m really partial toward early to mid 1970s Marantz for music. This is our master bedroom setup which is connected to the main living space stereo. We get all kinds of analog and digital options of music through this.
Some of the others I tried in the same price bracket:
- The Bose (that everyone who flies Business seems to rock these days) - couldn't get on with them. Nice touches like in case charging but didn't like the sound stage.
Musical Fidelity A1 Amp
The MF A1 can be a bit temperamental so I have an Arcam Delta 290 as my standby. I couldn’t bring myself to replace the A1. It’s a lovely old thing in a quirky way.
Cherish that old 70’s gear , they are from a golden age of design and performance ... I had Technics separates back in university .. and I regret not taking better care of them. I still own a 40 Watt Reciever that I need to get fixed after trying to force it into being a multimedia setup for the kid.
Travel: I am one of these people. My primary concern is noise reduction and these are the generally accepted 'gold standard' for this purpose.
Yep yep, completely agree, I nearly bought some the first time around but at the last minute swerved to Sony instead. I did find I detected more of a 'pressure' in my head when the noise cancelling was on with the Bose than the Sonys, I'm guessing this was them working better?
Ha. Lucky for me I luuuuurve the sound o' aeroplanes then
