    Good afternoon,
Im thinking of making an offer on an Omega Seamaster from the 50's. I think it is a bumper automatic movement. As far as I can see it looks in good condition. The dial seems original, case pretty sharp, crown original. Haven't seen the movement yet, and am not sure what reference. Seller asks 1150eur. What do you guys think?

Forgot to mention, it is a 36mm case.

Do you think it is a 2657? I'm interested at first glance, and I'd grab it at half the price, but unfortunately the photos are not good enough to judge the condition of the dial and case. I see some marks on the dial, but the photos are blurry and washed out with glare, so I can't tell how it really looks. Similarly about the condition of the case. Sometimes when a seller has such bad photos, they are trying to hide flaws.

If it is 36mm exc crown it is a jumbo so more desirable IMO than the 34mm 2577 which looks similar. 2657 has a sub dial so I don't think it can be that ref. It is probably just a 2577 with a seller who has included the crown in the measurement...

In my notes I have the 2657 as a subsecond. Perhaps a 2494?

Yes i'm not sure, can't find the exact reference with central second. 1150euro is a little high for me. I believe the dial is in pretty good condition but photos are indeed not clear enough.

To me it looks like the case back was turned on a lathe to remove an engraving. Or is how it should look?
