Sorry I keep asking but i have no idea how to tell if they are legit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-MEN...istwatches&hash=item2580dcade1#ht_5284wt_1710Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
It's the real deal, but it's really banged up. The price is already about as high as it should sell for.
You guys have great attention to detail. Im still in the its so shiny stage but i see the scrapes you are talking about.
Bezel has many dents and scrapes as do the lugs, being gold filled you can't do anything about that even if you wanted to.
Plus its a gold filled case...not a big fan of these, I'd prefer a stainless steel to this...just my opinion though.
I might have found one that is similiar http://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-SEAMA...Wristwatches&hash=item2581108dda#ht_329wt_958Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network 4 more days I'm sure it will skyrocket by the time it ends.
That exact listing is discussed in another thread. One of the members hypothesizes that it's an experienced seller who has a new eBay ID. I say he might be right - that's a definitel possibility. However, the pics might be stolen and the whole thing a scam so it was suggested that a "proof of life" photo (the watch on a current newspaper with hands set to a time you ask for) be sent.
This was a nice watch just do homework like suggested (P.O.L. photo) this might even be nicer than mine at a very good price still!
I also inquired about this watch and the seller, with no feedback, wrote back in all caps saying it was authentic, but not much else
i got a reply and he also told me that he only sells authentic watches. I asked him to send a pic of the watch with today's paper. He replied that I can bid on his items once he has more feedback. He is planning on selling more Omega watches soon.
Yep, said the same to me. Kind of torn now. I'd really like to at least try for it, but the seller's attitude is really off-putting.
