OK
Always nice to see/hear what others do.
My main daily grind is an arcade/museum/family entertainment center all rolled into one!
My father had been obsessed with circuses, old coin op games, player pianos, band organs etc.
His father immigrated to the US in the late 1920's by 1933 he opened a drug store which grew and my father owned till 2015 just a couple years before he passed away.
In 1980 the first food court around here opened and my mom suggested my dad put some of his games in there (in hope of getting more space to herself in our house) BUT that didn't work as he needed stuff that he could put out and operate. The Food Court closed in 1989 and we reopened in the redeveloped mall in 1990 and have been going strong ever since! I have games from the early 1900's to the most modern pinball, ticket and video games. OLD 4/8/16 and 32 sheet magic posters, RC planes which fly around on a laundry conveyor (we have 40 ft ceilings in part of the place). We have been on American Pickers (to appraise their purchases, Im not selling stuff!), Modern Marvels, Mysteries at the Museum, the Disney Channel and MANY MANY other things!
My father was inspired by Walt Disney and PT Barnum (like Disney we do not sell gum, the gumball machines have jaw breakers as gum get stuck in coin slots, on the game seats, carpet etc). Anyway one of PT Barnum's greatest hoaxes was the Cardiff Giant! We own PT Barnum's actual Cardiff Giant and its just out in the open for all to see.
My father was also amazing with automatons and working models. I have one of the ultimate grail pieces there, Paul Spooners The Last Judgement. Its a one of one handmade piece which was even featured in the Rush music video Mystic Rhythms.

our website is www.Marvin3M.com (I need to get it redone!)
I post a LOT of watches and cool old arcade games on Instagram MarvinsMarvelousMechanical
