What do we think about this Jumbo redial?

It is a 1951 with a 265 cal. For the first time I must admit that I like the extremely crisp redial. What do you all think here? Worthless or nice? Would be around USD 1k in Europe!
Not an original crown I think and definitely a fake buckle. But it had a service and is running well with a nice almost 2 days reserve.

Thanks!

You would be paying real price for a redial. Couple of dollars more you could find one that’s original.

Hey,redials are fun if you like them but not at top dollar. Buy a $200 watch and get it redialed yourself and your only in for half the price of this one.

You are right but I never see a jumbo for 200 usd, not even 300 euro en not even 500 euro over here. I think this is to a certain extent the classical “US versus Europe pricing” issue.

If you like the watch and don't mind throwing your money away, then buy it. There's really no point in asking about a watch like this on a collector's forum IMO, it's obvious what people will say.

I like the watch and many all genuine watches with black dials looks terrible. For everyday use it looks good and a true collectors pieces can often looks just dull. I recon most visitors here are not hard core collectors, though i prefer the genuine watches, but wouldn´t hesitate to carry the above. A watch is also a piece of jewellery!

Going to add to the discussion here that the case looks a bit odd with this dial, has def had work done. The crown is replaced, the movement appears has a gouge across two plates and is missing a screw. Although the hands are appropriate this watch kind of smells like a put together. I’d rather have something all original with heavy patina, but that’s just me.

that’s the issue, someone has found a nasty dialed old clapped out watch cheap and spruced it up and wants you to pay $1000
If they can do it 😗

Can it be both? I think it looks "nice", but it is of no interest to me.

Price went down with 30% but you all made me hesitate... 😀 ... and decided to skip. Thanks for the comments.

if its really an omega jumbo watch I would say the price of an ugly duckling is 700-800 euro at the lower end and the redial would cost 200-300 Euro, so 1000 euro does not look like such a bad deal in my opinion. if I look on chrono24 sellers are asking 1500-2500 euro for similar omegas with such redials. but this is only my 2 cents
