What did santa leave under the tree in 2025?

It is always nice to find a new watch under the tree. Even if Santa shops at goodwill.
Strap is a bit long and a bit narrow for the lugs, This should look nice with leather. Not quite sure how the bracelet could be shortened. The grids are 1 inch so this is a smaller watch.

This is actually the first Helvetia, I have seen on the shopgoodwill site. I used to search regularly. Unlike Santa I have been preferring Omega automatics for the last year, so have not been searching there as often. The prior goodwill watch was a waste of money. This one was cheap at 15USD plus S&H. Surprisingly it even runs. Probably should put it on the timegrapher, but then I would want to clean and service it.

For fun I thought I would check the lume.

Gives quite a reading. Under the UV light is really lights up like a Christmas tree.

Anyone else find a watch under the tree or gift wrapped?

No watches for me. My family knows better! But I did buy a watch winder for my spouse’s Rolex. Typical of Rolex automatics for women who aren’t into pickleball, line dancing, or other vigorous pursuits, hers runs down several times a week. Sitting and knitting just doesn’t cut it. I have a watch winder in my shop, but that is where it stays.

An 1892 Columbus Railway King found its way into my stocking.

Nice watch and as said unique hand set but waaaay to thin to quickly read.

I said I was going to replace my 145.022 69ST and I decided to this week. Was gong to wait until Wednesday to make the drive but with the weather coming in the region, I headed out Tuesday afternoon instead.

A 50 dollar bill on a 40 dollar purchase, thanks to the clown. Yeah nothing like a bunch of tariffs on a 40 year old part.
Can wait

The best kind of present; something I've never even heard of.
A live map of the London Underground, by traintrackr. Completely frivolous, just like my collection of Tube maps, old and new, but looks great.
Much brighter IRL than the photo.

At first glance, I was thinking NYC subway system. Very cool, made this one for my son.
