What constitutes good condition? 145.022-69ST.

Just want to get input. I have a 145.022-69 that is all original but there is a little paint missing from the DON bezel and a little lume/paint missing from dial/hands. Someone told me recently they felt it was a below average example. Are there a lot of pristine Speedys from 1969 out there that I’m unaware of? Picture for reference:

Need more pictures but it certainly isn't below average. Was the person who told you this attempting to buy it by any chance?

I like your Speedmaster. Apart from one area that is scratched your DON bezel looks in good condition. I think the most important thing is that it appears to be a watch that has not been messed about with.

Agreed. It's not quite 'good', but certainly isn't below average. I'd say it's average+.

Thanks all. Speedy101’s good seems to be the most vague of all it's descriptive categories. Would you guys consider loss of tritium dial damage?

Well, it diminishes the value of the watch whether we call it damage or not.

When something that was originally there has fallen off then it can only be considered as damage!

The borderline between damage and patina tends to vary depending if someone is a seller or a buyer😁

Well if a half way decent watchmaker touched up that hour hand, you watch would certainly be in the good category imo.

I like your watch, if you have ever plans to sell it, you may send me a PM. I think the quality of the bezel is - after 50 years - more than average.
