BTW. The Timex above is the same model as the first watch I had as a young farm boy in the 70's. Mine did have a NATO type strap though although I don't think that was what they were called back then. Will you sleep better tonight knowing this?

How about the Hamilton Field Khaki? I think the manual wind version comes in around $260, although I do like the automatics better which are slightly over your budget at around $370 on Amazon.
