Damn...I totally missed this thread!

I've been "collecting" for many years, yet, I was never able to stand till so to speak. I've held extremely nice, some rare and collectible watches. I was never able to hold on to them as I always wanted something else. I guess I started to suffer from watch exhaustion. That combined with the silly money asked for run of the mill vintage watches and a change of career, tempered my desires so to speak!

This would be my 'I'm good' watch.

Well, each to their own but, since you ask, and from my perspective, the design of the watch suffers from the mismatched hands, the crown protectors, the exaggerated indices and (since I’m not keen on dive watches and don’t think they’re beautiful, classically or otherwise) the bezel.

Still, in the eye of the beholder, and all that ....
So....?

It isn't the "what am I looking for" that worries me, as I always seem to be able to find out new stuff that triggers serious FOMO without even really looking for it... it's my crass inability to let the old flames go, despite me not wearing them any longer...

So a word to the wise - the only thing worse, dare I say much worse, than being in the throes of an irrational collector frenzy, is the life-sucking depression of not being in the hunt...
