Hey,

I found an interesting watch on eBay and it has some engravings on the case back. The watch is from WW2 era and the seller says it was worn during the battles so I assume the markings are military related.

I'm not from US so I don't know what these mean so please share your knowledge!📖

Ps. Can you guess the brand?😉

Lemania?
They are personal/private markings and not issued markings. I would perhaps show a pic over at MWR there are folks there that might know off the top of their head, so to speak.

I think it’s the 32nd naval construction regiment*. That’s what this one below said.

And I’m sure the top is probably the sailor’s personal initials.

'NCR' has a lot of meanings. Possibly 'Naval Construction Regiment' in this case. It's a personal watch that was well worn, probably in the Pactific theater as the forces moved closer to Japan in anticipation of an eventual invasion. The date was after Japan surrendered, but these construction types were involved in cleanup and stabilization long after the war ended.

I notice their is a roster pictured above of the 32nd Naval Construction Regiment. Case closed.

I don’t think this is military issued. More like a service member just personalizing his watch. I love it though.

I have a watch with a non issued military inscription. Its been researched by the previous owner in OF archives. Its fun to imagine where this Royal Artillery member served and what this watch has “witnessed”.
