too expensive with no bracelet. cal1020 is commonly used in this era but durable one. if only for your dad's sake, it's worth considering.

These models frequently sell for half that price on eBay.

The case also looks as if it's been refinished and the dial is the least sought after version (the blue dials are generally more desirable and thus valuable).

1020 should be a day / date not date only. "Very rare model" - er, No. "Has been profissionally [sic] polished" - er, No thanks. Nothing wrong with the Cosmic 2000 range but you can do better for less money.

Like everyone else said its too expensive. You can find them on eBay for half the price. Also, dial colour not the greatest 😬

Thanks. I do see a bunch of Cosmics on eBay, but most are with the cushion-type case. I was looking for the variants with the more traditional/svelte lugs.
