I was digging through some boxes and found some random cool things, one of which is this Westclox space themed paperweight clock. It has a bakelite body with some cracking, very cool semi-reflective blue dial with terrific graphics, and still works! What surprised me the most about these is that I always assumed it was from the 60's, space-race era. I then learned they are from likely from around 1936-38 which is so much more interesting to me. Does anyone else know anything about these? I've now sat it back out on my bedside table and love seeing it again. It's a keeper. Highly recommend to anyone who loves timekeepers and space!

This is great, thanks! I haven't found this info and have never seen the box before, great work. These things are really cool, the dial is so brilliant and has a sheen that catches the light, I've owned it for many years and it still catches my eye.

I have begun my search on eBay. The ones for sale, ranging from 60.00 to 300.00, are not in the best condition and none work properly. I checked past auctions and they did have a couple of nice ones in working condition that sold for approximately 135 and 200 dollars. I'm patient.

I got one...it’s in great used condition and works great. Really like the aged patina Roman Numerals and faded black Bakelite and no cracks. Cost a little more than $3.95, but no complaints.
Thanks
