Hi folks, it’s been a while 😟 Okay, I spent far too long being insulated from the outside world. Other than work and my wife, I’ve been quite withdrawn most of the year. Though it seemed like a fabulous idea at the time, in retrospect, it really sucked to not have connection with friends. Apologies to those who I ghosted, and THANK YOU to those who reached out.

·As far back as August of 2023, there were comments concerning not having heard much from @DaveK . I mentioned at the time that I had sent him several private emails, enquiring as to his silence on the message board. Starting this thread was his idea, now many of us are wondering if everything is okay! Anybody heard anything? Maybe I’ll try another message to his personal email address.

As many of us know, once a bank is notified of death or some change in the account holder’s ability to control their lives, standing orders/direct debits are stopped - and I recollect that this information was relevant in efforts to ascertain if @Alpha was still in contact with OF.
In my case, I’ve thought about this issue. I’ve met a few members and bought or sold watches with members so I think that at least some of them have my address and contact details.
Just to be clear, I’m not planning an imminent departure although, as my wife joked, ‘How do you make God laugh?’ ‘Tell him your plans for the future’.
