Weird Omega Constellation

Hi all,
I’ve just seen this Omega Constellation for sale… asking price is unrealistic, and I’m not interested, but I’m just wondering if it is original….

While dial seems ok, is Calibre 505 ok?
Médaillon seems ok, even if stars are a bit weird, but I’ve never seen such an inside caseback.

Please let me know what you think:

I think it’s a different case maker. Actually quite a cool watch, with an even patina and interesting markers. Movement looks clean too…

Looks like a French case variation.

this. 👍
You can tell by the style of the stars but the eagle’s head poincon is the giveaway.

Are these worth any more in terms of value, or are they about the same as a regular Omega cased type?

they ( like the English 18k cases ) are of equal weight and quality to the Swiss ones but definitely not worth more.

Most collectors prefer the originality of the Swiss cases, so probably worth a little less.

Asking price is over 4500€…!

The problem is that because of it being a French case, it’s difficult to assess the condition of the case.

The shark-tooth pie pan dial is interesting but the spotting does nothing for me.

is the bracelet solid gold? - it would have to be for that price.

@Peemacgee solid gold bracelet, but not an omega, no endlinks
Then I guess you’re just paying for the gold. It must be fairly heavy, and could be worth quite a lot. Last I checked I’m pretty sure 1 gram of gold is 48 GBP.

That’s for 24k. 18k would be more like ~35£/g.

My bad. Still though, that’s a lot of gold and a lot of cash…
