Just in case anyone trusted this video, this is NOT the correct pronunciation of "Glashütte".
Unfortunately I am lacking the ability to transfer the "ü" correctly to an english equivalent.

I agree - that sounds nothing like the locals say it, or even on the train from Dresden when the pre-recorded announcements came on telling you what the next stop was...

I know everyone has their theories about how things are pronounced, but I tend to take the way the people who live there or work there as the gold standard rather than some internet experts.

Edit to add this link:

You can hear the name pronounced many times in this video, and it's also fun to watch.

Cheers, Al

That ENICAR which was started by Ariste Racine is an palindrome of his last name! ENICAR RACINE. Yes I'm sure everyone already knew this but I didn't.

I also learnt how to do a yeast two hybrid.

I learned why all the Mallard ducks that didn't migrate away this summer were female. Males molt and look like females.

Esta noche, comeré carne de pato.

I learned that wine tastes HORRIBLE when you're recovering from the flu. 😵‍💫 I aslo learned that Robatussin isn't as delicious as when you're layed up in bed with the flu. 🤔 Also, never EVER mix Robatussin and wine in an attempt to make them taste better. 🤦

However, Ocean Spray cranberry / cherry (the no added sugar version) is a GREAT chaser for the CVS generic Tussin DM. 👍

Falling down concrete steps will end in dizziness, blurred vision, multiple scrapes and bruises. 😲
And most likely spilled coffee.

Always led to believe that original crystals were unobtainable for the UG Polerouter Date but thanks to @Archer it turns out they are 👍

Huh? 😕 Are you saying he confirmed that OEM crystals can't be had?

Oh, and the "original" crystal is probably still in a dump somewhere, never to really decompose. 😁

I learned I don't know crap about vintage Omegas. But a '95 Ponet Canet, a good Monte Cristo and AJTT can sure help.

So you're a Left Bank Bordeaux man. Right Bank myself, specifically Pomerol, if I do Bordeaux at all. I could never handle the pencil shavings smell of a Pauillac or Margaux from Médoc. Sort of a pity that my hypersensitive nose ruins a whole region. 🙁 If you want to talk Burgundy though...... 🥰

Beaune? Just so happens I'm looking at Jadot from '11 and '12 to see if I want either to cellar.

I will keep that rant precise. Super glue saves you a trip to the ER. Photos would be completely unnecessary. That being said.......My thumb will never be the same. Can't stop, won't stop. It's been 38 days straight.

excuse my ignorance, but I am new here. Do you work in a restaurant kitchen?
