Learned how to hack my Speedy!
You mean...Back Hack? That's a great trick, even if it sounds like how I clear my throat when I have a head cold...

Are you talking about jewels on the dial? Jewels in the movement serve a purpose....
the ones in the movement -- that you can see in the back... they are red/pink.... OH I SEE !!! I meant to type that I learned that they are NOT just for bling and that they have a purpose !

thank you!

That would be more useful for husbands and boyfriends. A guy would know when to go fishing for a few days.

Math to a women is what skyscrapers are to brussel sprouts.
That's what they want you to think. Don't fall for it.

P.S. - There's a very good reason why many cultures use a lunar calendar. 😉

I sat next to an older gentleman on a ferry. He was nice to my daughter, who was being a little loud. On his wrist - I stole several looks - was the nicest Sub 5513 Maxi, I have seen. Clearly old but bevels fully visible on the case and in very good condition. I didn't ask him about it.

So I learned that you should always seize the moment to talk watches and I also regretted not asking him, if he would like to sell it (cheap) to me 😀 What a watch...

I learned what "DON" means. I've seen "DON" referenced at OF many times. I would say to myself, "Now what the heck does that mean? I'm surely not going to ask...for fear of being labeled a craptastic doofus." So I was over @Spacefruit's cool site www.speedmaster101.com and I see "DO90". Ummm...so what the heck does THAT mean??? Then it hit me..."DO90" = "dot over 90" and "DON" = "dot over ninety"...with reference to the Speedmaster's TACHYMETRE bezel...it has to be the Speedmaster because Spacefruit's site is Speedmaster specific.

I am now mentally fatigued and will be retiring for the evening.

Mad Dog out.

👍

I am still learning about the DZo

Ok. At the risk of being labeled a "craptastic doofus" by Mad Dog et al., why is it referred to as the Dot over 90 (DON) and not, say, Dot over 100 (DOH) 😀

I guess I am going to feel pretty stupid in a few hours when I am told why, but then I can always say I learnt something today. DOH!

Because the DON and the dot next to 90 both have a dot over 100. 😗

Isn't that what the moonphase complication is for?
