The critical measurement to get right is the spring-bar-to-spring-bar as there is not a great deal of play in the strap. Obviously, starting off with a 28mm watch is so much of an outlier that I made sure to get this detail right. I went for a 16mm untapered strap and the last detail which works quite well is the addition of a Kaufmann roller buckle.

I've had a few straps from David and they're a different animal, though I've never had an actual Bund from him.

Is that an Uncle Seiko or Forstner flat link bracelet? A friend has one for his FOIS but I haven't been able to check the fit on my Monodatic because of lockdown.
